JEE Advanced 2025 Information

JEE Advanced is the second stage of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted for admission to undergraduate programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is a highly competitive exam, open to candidates who qualify JEE Main and rank among the top 2.5 lakh students. The exam consists of two papers, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with both multiple-choice and numerical-based questions. JEE Advanced assesses candidates’ deep understanding of concepts and problem-solving skills. IIT Advanced Cutoffs

The cutoff for IIT Advanced refers to the minimum marks or ranks required for candidates to qualify for admission to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The cutoff varies each year based on factors such as:

  • Total number of candidates appearing for the exam.
  • Difficulty level of the exam.
  • Number of available seats in IITs.
  • Candidate performance.

Types of Cutoffs:

  • Qualifying Cutoff:
    The minimum marks required to appear in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling for IIT admissions. This cutoff is subject-wise and aggregate.

  • Admission Cutoff:
    The rank/score required for admission into specific IITs and branches. This is usually higher than the qualifying cutoff.
